Hector,I run Catalina on a maxed MacMini 2009. Runs quite well. But no updates on MacOS. If I really want an update I download DosDude1 files on a stick, and do a clean install. Gets easy the more you do it.

I want to know this because here data is costly and i have to know how much will it download so i can check if sufficient data balance is available before starting installation.
